Disarmed
Amidst the growing popularity of motion-based input technologies like VR, Disarmed inquires about the commodification of movement. Movement is intimate; it carries our self-expression and identity. Its digitalisation brings with it exposure prone to exploitation.
Disarmed aims to bring attention to the body mass behind the virtual.
The work is a narrated, interactive VR experience. As the story unfolds, the player is invited to experiment with their own hands and arms through hand-tracking and the headset.
